5 reasons so many people will not make money online with affiliate marketing.
1. Lack of patience
Having patience is one of the most important aspects to success in affiliate marketing
Many new affiliate marketers want overnight success. Affiliate marketing is like any other business venture in that it takes time, work, and patience.
2. Lack of investment
Lack of investment: if you’re not willing to spend money on affiliate marketing then this is not for you.
Name one successful business that you can start for free and make a full time income?
You don’t start earning profits from affiliate marketing by just sending out your affiliate link all over social media.
This a business and it takes some investment for creating landing pages, an email list, domain registration, and software tools.
And of course the most difficult aspect is getting traffic. You need to invest in traffic, but the this is the tricky part. If you simply start buying ads on Google or Facebook without any experience, you can quickly lose money.
Email marketing is still the best way to generate traffic, and again this takes investing in building up a quality email list.
3. Not focused.
Like many people, this is a problem I had when I started. It is easy to get distracted with every new shiny object that comes along thinking that this is the golden ticket to huge profits.
You need to realize there is no magic easy button that will generate sales without any effort.
You need to have a game plan with steps that you need to follow each day. There are some things you can do yourself, but some tasks that you might want to hire out.
4. Trying to do way too many things yourself.
Many people are trying to do everything...niche research, graphic creation, learning wordpress to build websites, creating funnel pages, writing articles, making videos, getting back links, writing blogs, setting up email auto responders, going on social media, blah, blah, blah.
This can get you totally overwhelmed and get you paralyzed in not being able to focus and do any work.
5. Being Lazy
Some people do the exact opposite of number 4 above. So instead of trying to do everything, they become lazy and are not wanting to work.
If you aren’t willing to put in any time then you’re not going to make money with affiliate marketing.
So unless you have the cash to hire out most all the work, then expect to put in at least 3-4 hours per day minimum when getting started.
The bottom line is you must follow a specific course of steps to succeed as an affiliate marketer.
1. Choose profitable niche products.
Many people just go out and try a whole bunch of affiliate offers that look interesting without doing any research. You need to find the right niche offers that are converting well and paying good commissions.
2. Get a domain name and web hosting service for your web site.
3. Create landing pages and bridge pages.
4. Setup an email autoresponder (Aweber is what I use)
5. Purchase quality leads to send to your landing pages to get subscribers.
6. Provide follow up email sequences to your subscribers to present your niche offers.
You can do all of these tasks yourself. However, there is a learning curve and unless you are experienced at this, it could take quite a bit of time to figure it all out.
But what if I showed you a way to speed up the process, where I do the heavy lifting for you so you don’t have to spend countless hours doing all this yourself.
